The purpose built Equestrian Centre boasts superb facilities for the beginner and experienced rider, offering BHS approved training up to an including BHSAI. The facilities include stabling for up to 20 horses in an American barn - each stable measuring a generous 10ft x 12ft - plus a further 4 day stables in the hay barn. The floodlit outdoor arena with a sand surface measures 63m x 25m and is equipped with BSJA show jumps. The indoor arena measures 22m x 41m and has a sand, aqua gel and turf float surface which provides a great surface to work on both the flat and over fences. We also have a starter cross country course covering an area of 10 acres.
All abilities of rider is catered for, from complete beginners to the experienced competition rider. Pupils can learn to ride from the age of 6 years and are taught by highly qualified and experienced staff led by Miss Stephanie Vickers, BHSI, Cert Ed BHS Senior Examiner. Pupils are also prepared, if they wish, for BHS or Pony Club qualifications up to and including BHSAI. Pupils are encouraged to bring their own horses/ponies to school and the centre offers full livery at very competitive prices. In-house competitions are held regularly throughout the year and all pupils, regardless of their level of experience or ability, are invited to take part. The school also enters individuals and teams into inter-school competitions and over recent years have had considerable success in these national events. |
